Does anyone have accounts with more than one licensing company?

I'm interested in having my station added to the Loudcity directory, but I don't want to leave streamlicensing. I'm hoping to have the station listed in both directories. If I do this, can I have the same stream registered with both places? Or will that make me basically pay double for the stream and it's better to just have two separate accounts?

I'm curious as to whether having multiple places with the same stream url can help a station rise in the shoutcast directory or other places that rate stations based on the number of listeners.

If you currently are with more than one license company, how do you do it?

Are you really interested in getting your stream licensed two times (that wouldn't make sense in my eyes) or are you only trying to get listed in as many yellow pages directories as possible?

Regarding the Shoutcast directory: I wouldn't put much effort into that until it's finally cleared whether that will be shut down on December 20 as well or if it will continue to exist.

Here are some other yellow pages directories that might be of interest for you:
#1 TuneIn.com
#2 iTunes
#3 Windows Media Guide
#4 Audiorealm (if you're using SAM, you should automatically be listed there)
#5 Surfmusic.de
#6 (only applies to Icecast and you appear there automatically unless you set your icecast to explicitly NOT list your stream) dir.xiph.org

I guess that are the most important and most useful online radio yellow pages directories.

I'm really just looking to be in the directory. Based on Alexa.com rankings, it does seem like LoudCity.com gets pretty good traffic.

I'm in the directories you mentioned except for Windows Media Guide (working on that one) and get some traffic from them.

Maybe it's better to simply budget a little for Google advertising or something. I'm not trying to get tons of listeners, just looking to bump up the numbers some.

Well, you can always ask them to list you and they can then tell you if that's possible without being their customer.
I doubt it'll bring enough listeners to make up for the money it costs to pay the license fees twice.
