What browser are you using? This will also depend on if you have an application (like WinAmp, Win Media Player, Real Player, iTunes) that is set in your windows config to open by default with a .PLS file.

For example I have WinAmp set as the default application that starts when I open an .PLS file. This will work when I click on a listen link that is a PLS file in Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. For some reason when I use Google Chrome it wants to save the PLS file.

The player does not open because on your computer the extension .pls is not associated with a player. What player do you have on your computer that you want to pop-up?

Simply clicking on the LISTEN link in your SHOUTcast page WILL NOT open the web-player. You need to either copy/paste the "listen link" from the SpacialNet.com station page, or set up your own webpages with the SpacialNet listen link.

This will also depend on the browser being used. If I use IE or FF, my computer will automatically open WinAmp, as that is the player I have associated w/ that extension. BUT, if I click on a .pls listen link in Google Chrome, it simple wants to save the .pls file.
