I'm working with SAM 4.5.6, MySQL, Windows Vista and server with Centova, shoutcast server.
I'm trying to get output of SAM to a server for the first time. From the server's side it looks like the stream is coming through, the song list is coming up as played however I cannot hear anything when I try to listen to the stream with Media Monkey, Windows Media player or Real Player. There's no sound.
I guess the problem is related with the fact that I can see nothing on the VU meters of the Encoder. The blue button is depressed in the Encoder window.
I'm not sure what I can try to sort it. Please can someone help?!

Make sure the AIR button is depressed on both DECK A & DECK B.
Are you seeing the VU meters moving on DECKS A & B?

Yes the AIR button is depressed on both Deck A & Deck B. And the VU meters are moving on both those decks as a song plays on them. I can hear the music coming from the computer with SAM no probs.
It's hardly connected but: I should add that in the Event log window under Category: TOUCH I get the error: 609 - station name is empty. Please enter a valid station name.
Yet in the encoder that is streaming I have a station name entered!!??

Your Station name needs entered in: Config > Station Details
Not quite sure why the VU meters in your ENCODER window aren't operating. Have you tried recreating the encoder? (Delete the one you have, and re-add it.)

Well, if you've verified that the BLUE button in the Encoders window is depressed, then I'm not quite sure why you're not getting anything in the encoder VUs.
Let's leave this up here and see if anyone else has an idea.... in the meantime, I suggest you drop a support ticket to the main support department (click SUPPORT at the top of this forum) and explain to them everything we've gone over here and ask their advice.
Best of luck, and keep us posted.
