Try this first:
    1) Log out of SAM.

    2) From a DOS prompt enter:

    net stop mysql
    c:/mysql/bin/myisamchk -r -f c:/mysql/data/samdb/*.myi
    net start mysql

Note these are three separate commands.

    3) Restart SAM
There is a free license option for the MySQL tools.

Sometimes MySQL is installed at c:\program files\mysql\MySql Server 5.0 so verify your paths. Usually it's songlist.myi that is corrupt, so change the * to songlist.myi

Thanks!

Use the free MySQL Community version, not the paid for Enterprise one.

I am revamping an old thread here as this has just happened to me today as well. I checked the database and the tables just seem to have disappeared. I therefore tried to reinstall but that has not recreated the tables. Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE: I have managed to get this working again, but I have no idea what caused this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

No idea how you solved it if not with myisamchk or mysqlcheck --repair --all-databases
The cause of the problem is most likely an improper shutdown or a crashed application.
A little less likely is a harddisk/ssd problem.
And even less likely is a problem with your main memory/RAM modules.

Removed a post by a Spambot (copied 1:1 from an earlier post in this thread) and the reply to that by DJ Cassio who fell for the Spambot.
