All of sudden people can not request a song.

Your request failed. Reason given:
Unable to connect to 76.184.161.37:1221. Station might be offline, or connection is being blocked. (Err#: 803)

We can not afford to be down....anyone else have this problem?

I am still having the same problem. I am trying to build something similar to festerhead's songrequester but am failing miserably trtying to turn my extra 2003 box inot a php /w curl enabled web server. I have yahoo host my web site, and have a feeling that its not as easy as just dropping the three php files in... HELP please! :D

I'll revive something similar to festerhead's song requester service soon.
But if it's just about the no-frills version, you might want to proxy your requests via this URL scheme:

Code:
http://fhr.sam-song.info/request.php?songid=<#>&samport=<#>&samhost=<ip>

This will work just like Festerhead's old service, just adjust the URL scheme where appropriate.

Thanks Mastacheata, that would be great!! Let me know if I can help out or do anything, I would really like to use something like SongRequester again, especially the custom failed/success stuff!!

I was able to workaroundf my AudioRealm issue. I poked at some other stations and I noticed their URL was slighlty different and theirs were working.

Mine is going to www.audiorealm.com, their is request.audiorealm.com... changed my request.js to that URL and it is back working again. You may try that tossmradio.

Both are not working here.

Very odd, a friend of mine runs 2 stations. 1 is working fine, including request and the other with exactly the same settings gives the 803 error.

I just reinstalled Sam and I'm getting a database error message in my event log when I attempt to log into audiorealm.. I wonder if that's the reason

I have been having the same issue at least since yesterday when I ran a special request promotion before realizing the request didn't work.

I used the port test tool and it is not an issue on my end.

I got mine working by editing my request.js file that is located on my website, not the local copy on SAM server. I guess you could change the local copy under the %user%\Local Settings\Application Data\SpacialAudio folder (ProgramData\SpacialAudio for newer OSs), then upload the request.js to your website.

Here is a before and after. Requests have been working ever since I changed it yesterday.
