Want to see if anyone has been having problems with port 1221 for Song Request. In last few weeks I have been having an issue with this. When listeners try to request songs, this comes up:

Request Failed

Sorry, your request failed. The radio station responded with:
Unable to connect to xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1221. Station might be offline, or connection is being blocked. (Err#: 803)

I know, check to make sure that I have the ip address config right, which it is in the config.html for samhost & samport, they are config right. Also this port is port forwarded in the Xfinity modem/router. Also my antivirus is not blocking this port also. When I check the port with online port checkers, they all show that the port is blocked. One states this below:

Host is up.

PORT STATE SERVICE

1221/tcp filtered sweetware-apps

Checked to see if I had a virus, but nothing on that. On Speedguide.net has port 1221 as the following:

Port(s) Protocol Service Details Source
1221 tcp trojan F**k Lamers Backdoor

SAM2 Broadcaster also uses port 1221 (TCP/UDP) SG
1221 tcp trojan F**k Lamers Backdoor Trojans
1221 tcp,udp sweetware-apps SweetWARE Apps IANA
1221,3306,3690 tcp,udp applications SAM2 Broadcaster Portforward

Could Comcast/Xfinity be blocking this port, if not what could the problem be?

Is your Comcast network new? What has changed recently? Did your HTML requests through audio realm ever work?

FYI, I've been listening to your station this past week and only today I am getting massive buffering issues not sure why but I noticed your normal listenership is down so everyone else is experiencing the same issue I am.

To see if port 1221 is open or closed go to this website:
http://canyouseeme.org/

Yes, Comcast could be blocking the port. Also I don't like that Trojan entry. Sure you don't have a virus ?

Everything is the same and yes used Audiorealm for my song request thru www.audiorealm.com and
request.audiorealm.com. and was working about 3 weeks ago and just stopped. Port forward setup in the router that is an Xfinity XB3 Dual-Band modem/router for ports 1221 and 3306.

Was just informed by DJ Cassio that while listening to station experienced a lot of stream buffering today, Saturday. Did a tracert at the below ip address before my stream providers ip address and got this below. Looks like a Chicago datacenter may be have issues. Also checked same ip address with
WinMTR.

tracert 192.99.146.62

Your WinMTR is horrible. No wonder you are buffering.

These 2 hops are causing the issues:
|be-10563-pe01.350ecermak.il.ibone.comcast.net - 3 | 1941 | 1900 | 61 | 76 | 614 | 65 |
| be100-153.chi-5-a9.il.us - 3 | 1912 | 1864 | 61 | 77 | 614 | 66 |

About a 5% packet lost at last hop.

Complain to Comcast.

Your WinMTR Report answers your recent buffering issue but NOT the reason for your port 1221 being blocked. I've confirmed with Telnet port 1221 is blocked as well. There can be a number of reasons why. We've eliminated that it's not your web host since the request does get to AudioRealm, they cannot see your SAM. so,
1) Your anitivrus program has shut the port off
2) Your internal windows firewall or external firewall if you have one is doing it
3) Your port forwarding, in your Comcast router, is no longer forwarding to the SAM machine because it's internal IP address has changed.
4) Comcast has blocked the port, I would not think this is a likely scenario.
