Hello. I'm using SAM Broadcaster Pro 2017.11.

I have clockwheel that loads daily from 6-8am and keeps 3 songs in the queue. An event loads another clockwheel for goes back to default settings for manual control for the live DJs.

When you save a clockwheel, can it save the the number of songs in queue info as well? I'd like to keep zero songs in the queue while we have live DJs.

It seems like it worked this way with a much older version of SAM. I just upgraded and lost this functionality. It could've been a fluke or glitch. I was pleasantly surprised when it actually worked that way.

Is what I want achievable in any way?

Thanks.

Richard

A clockwheel file will only ever contain the rules for picking up new tracks. Clockwheel itself has no information about the state of SAM and is only ever involved when a new track needs to be picked automatically.

If you want to clear the queue when loading a new clockwheel via Event Scheduler, you'll have to schedule a second event to issue the "Queue.Clear;" command (either by saving that command to a PAL file and executing that or simpler by using the "Add files to queue" event type and just putting said PAL command in the box there.)

Thanks!

I run a PAL script that clears the queue before and after the 6-8am slot. If there could be a way to control the "Keep __ songs in queue" object via PAL in future versions, that would help.

Ahh, now I get what you want. Sorry completely misunderstood your original post.

What you're looking for is in the PlaylistRules object:
Code:
// Keep 0 tracks in Queue
PlaylistRules.MinQueueSize := 0;
