Hi I am designing my new website, the database for the website is on the webserver, but the same db is on the studio PC.

I am running into the following issue. in short i need to close connection to the SAM pc so I can run mysql under the now playing information on my site.

I have tried $db=>close(); but nothing.
If anyone can help that would be great.

Patience, please. You posted on a weekend in a user-based forum. If & when someone knows, I'm sure you'll get your answer.

Why are you running the same database on your webhost that you're running on your SAM PC? This isn't required.

I am running my website MYSQL on my webserver. that database hosts all the data from news stories to pages etc.
the SAM DB is on the studio computer.

I hope that helps.

The NOW PLAYING information does not run off the MySQL on your website. Your website pages will connect to your MySQL on your SAM machine.

It is best to not re-use the database connections.
Use one for the webserver database and one for the SAM database.
