For more advanced stuff check out the old manual (the help file is still shipping with SAM and that manual covers many of the advanced topics not explained at all in the new help, but the manual wasn't updated after SAM 4 was released and actually shows screenshots from way back in SAM 2/3)

If you need hands-on help, check out the palscripts.com shop. It's run by one of the SVS members and he's got lots of experience helping people set up SAM I think.
I'm available for hire as well, but if you're already having trouble scraping together the money for the SAM license, I guess you don't want to afford me.
