I am evaluating SAM 2 for our radio station. I need to be able to control VoiceFX to do the following: Turn on the Mic; Start Talk; Stop Talk; Turn Off Mic.
From checking the status I have been able to determine that Next procedure appears to turn on the Mic; Play Starts Talk; Stop Stops Talk; and Eject to turn off the Mic.
When I run the code below, it seem to work except that the line input is not played. Instead, a track is played(not from the queue). The Next procedure seems to be what causes the input to change.

Has anyone been able to get this to work?

WriteLn('VoiceFX Status is: '+IntToStr(VoiceFX.Status));
//Turn On Mic
VoiceFX.Next;
WriteLn('VoiceFX Status After Next is: '+IntToStr(VoiceFX.Status));
//Lock Talk
VoiceFX.Play;
WriteLn('VoiceFX Status After Play is: '+IntToStr(VoiceFX.Status));
PAL.WaitForTime(T['+00:00:15']);
//Unlock Talk
VoiceFX.Stop;
WriteLn('VoiceFX Status After Stop is: '+IntToStr(VoiceFX.Status));
//Turn Off Mic
VoiceFX.Eject;
WriteLn('VoiceFX Status After Eject is: '+IntToStr(VoiceFX.Status));

Hmm... almost sounds like you want to do the following instead:

Queue an URL called:
Code:
mic://

then play this URL in DeckA/B
This will record and play the sound from the mic/line-in
Then fade to the next deck once you are done...

Will this work for you?

I have seen this error when trying to go from one soundcard source to another (e.g. I have a LineIn feed and then try to queue / add next track as a MicIn)

I always assumed it is because SAM is trying to fade from one to the next ,and that this upsets the soundcard source somewhere. (SAM seems to only like you having one of these inputing at a time)

I never debugged or searched another way around it as I just found other ways around this issue.....
