Ive been writing down some more ideas lately when im going to school on the bus,

-Be able to create your own categorys inside categorys (e.g. (i) Station Id> Request Line...
Be able to categoryize ids and be able to create e.g. Now- (i) = Station Id, (iRQ)= Request line Sound

- Would having Filters / Limiters inside of Sam2 other than DSP use less CPU????

- Be able to drag Requests into Reguest window, If someone calls you and askes "can you play this song ____"

- Picture Window which would show the current logo of the show on the station at the moment and could also upload and chnage the image on the website
so you could show wats on air on the website (which show & Dj`s on air)

- In the event scheduler get it to alert me with this message saying something, but WONT interupt the station cause at the moment you have
to click ok otherwise it stops all the music thats really anoughing

-I have lined in from my video player the sound of the tv i was wondering would same be able to at 6:00pm Saturday
play a sound saying "Lets go LIVE to Top Of The Pops LIVE on TV2..." then would stop all music until 6:30 and would unmute line in so you could here the top of the pops show on tv?

Could you do this or would that need adding fuctions????

[ Top 10:

Someway to orgaize the top 10 this is what i came up with....

Make a Top 10 Manager or something alike, Were you can select your top 10 for the week/month (set an expiry date where a message will come up saying its time to create a new one or even make a scheduled message)
, It could also AUTO genarate a Top10 as it could take weeklky stats of most played, Biggest weighted, More Requested... (set your own way for it to choose like a clockwheel but top10 selection script) and genarate it from that, Once its created the top10 it could auto genarate a top10 page (for website)

Also you could set a scheduled thing so it adds/plays the top10 @ 8pm or something, At the moment i have a PAL adding a ".m3u" playlist of the weekly top10 at 8pm weekdays,

I was listening to hit music Top10 countdown on the radio and they newslley i thnk must have heaps people recorded random number and have the computer must picka random person with the number its lookin for (e.g. Number 3) and
place that at the beginning of [e.g number 3] on the countdown

So i would like something that will:

- Auto Genarate a nice weekly Top10 from most reguested songs, e.t.c....
Or have a Manual Genarate option were you can select your own top 10

- Genarate the top10 page to my stations website

- Place top 10 at top of queue at 8pm Weekdays, BUT also add the sounds before the song saying "Heres Number __ on the LFM Weekly Top 10" (then crossfade that with the song)

- Dont let the top 10 songs be played within the hour BEFORE the top 10
So its not replaying the same songs over and over

Should be able to do this already.
(I haven't tried creating sub-folders in the predefined categories myself, though)

Filter/Limiters will consume CPU no matter where incorporated.
The more aggressive the filtering/limiting, I reckon the more aggressive the CPU usage.

Already there. Check out the samPHPweb or samHTMLweb folders.

- Dont let the top 10 songs be played within the hour BEFORE the top 10

I've been considering writing this PAL myself for the same reason.

I also have to add, I really like the top ten manager idea. This is mostly because PAL is still over my head! But, I love Sam.. the more I play with it the more I find it does and I have had it like for four months and everyday I find a new way to make it more functional. So let me just say to the SAM team... you guys rock! And thank you to all of you hard core SAMers who help us newbies on here . If it weren't for you, I'd be so lost.
