I use free pbx soft switch and an external voip application for my callers... It would be incredible if voip ability was built into Sam Broadcaster. If it had a configuration page for voip and have a voip client integrated into the software. It would end the use of all these crazy exotic solutions to have live callers. I think it will add a lot of value to an already incredible product.

In Germany we have a saying "Schuster bleib bei deinen Leisten" (english translation: "A cobbler should stick to his last.")
You usually tell that to a company or to persons who would like to have an "eierlegende Wollmilchsau" (english translation: egg-laying-wool-milk-sow), a product that fits every thinkable purpose.
That usually ends up in having done many things, but none of them really good.
VoIP is a highly complex topic where you should definitely stick to tested and tried software that does it's job. It's not an easy task for a new company to get into that.
