We are using multiple instances of SAM Broadcaster PRO since several years for our webradio channels. SAM Broadcaster CLOUD seems to be a serious alternative to our current, expensive and highly maintenance-intensive "hardware" solution. During past days we did a proof of concept and came to the conclusion that the play-out side of SAMBC CLOUD meets our requirements (in particular auto-crossfades). Unfortunately, there is a big gap on web development/integration side.

Current SAMBC Pro setup is deeply integrated into our website. As the interactivity of our radio station is part of our main concept, we are relying on custom integration of SAMBC CLOUD with our website. The easiest way for web developers surely would be an official API (direct DB access would be a temporary workaround) with below options...

- Song library listing & search
- Now playing
- Recently played songs
- Sending song request (e.g. based on SongID like in SAMBC Pro)

Is Spacial willing picking up such an API to the to-do's? We would be very happy if so and we are looking forward to support you as tester.

If not, then is there some way of invoking some programs with certain arguments from the command line?

99.9% of all SAM Cloud features are possible to automate.
The API is a simple REST API with OAuth2 authorization.
That means if you take the token from the SAM Cloud Webinterface, you can reuse that for your own applications.

The API is not documented anymore. (There was a PDF with at least a good amount of API endpoints explained during the beta, but I lost it and can't find it anymore)
You might need to reverse engineer it yourself. (work with the webinterface and look in your browser's network console while doing that)
