Clockwheels are the easiest methods to do this. Create a clockwheel that only picks music from a TRANCE category, and create a clockwheel for normal programming....and use the Event Scheduler to load these clockwheels when you want the shows to start.

Here is a sample of my clockwheel:

Cat['2000 - 2005'].QueueBottom(smLemmingLogic, EnforceRules);
Cat['Other (All)'].QueueBottom(smRandom, NoRules);
Cat['Nieuwe Hits'].QueueBottom(smLemmingLogic, EnforceRules);
Cat['Jingles (All)'].QueueBottom(smRandom, NoRules);
Cat['2008'].QueueBottom(smLemmingLogic, EnforceRules);
Cat['90s'].QueueBottom(smLemmingLogic, EnforceRules);
Cat['Other (All)'].QueueBottom(smRandom, NoRules);
Cat['Jingles (All)'].QueueBottom(smRandom, NoRules);
Cat['Nieuwe Hits'].QueueBottom(smLemmingLogic, EnforceRules);
Cat['2006 - 2007'].QueueBottom(smLemmingLogic, EnforceRules);
Cat['Jingles (All)'].QueueBottom(smRandom, NoRules);

I look if there is a good manual for it... a moment

I can't find a good manual here :( I have only one in dutch for you, from the dutch SAM Broadcasterforum. There are all kind of powerpoints available, with simple explanations how to set up everything. But... in dutch.

Here you can find a little more... and you have to use the search function here to get more info. http://support.spacialaudio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=19776&hilit=CLockwheel+Manual

You don't need a script.

Create two (2) clockwheels, one for the Trance hour and one "regular" clockwheel. Save them.

Use the Event Scheduler to run the appropriate clockwheel at the desired time.

Example:
This will run the Trance clockwheel every day at 22:00 (10 PM)
(Adjust file paths accordingly)

Schedule the "regular" clockwheel when the Trance portion of your day is done.
