i am using a studio clock called studio screen from charlie davy but it only wants to
read current song playing from a .txt file. basically songpath=C:\studio screens/currentsong.txt so how can i export whats playing on sam broadcaster to a .txt file.

I suggest you take a look at the HTML Output functionality of SAM.
Don't let the name trick you, the templates shipping with SAM contain HTML markup, but in the end HTML is nothing but specially formatted text files.
The HTML Output feature works with a template file that contains placeholder texts and SAM replacing the placeholder stuff to generate a new file.
(usually the template and output file have almost the same name, but the template file has a leading underscore)

There's externsive documentation for the Template language in the Help menu of SAM.
