i am working on my webpage /playlistA.html.

Now i want to change the color of the playlist search area + de playlist itself.

I already did some changes on color in the C:\Program Files (x86)\SpacialAudio\SAMBC\samHTMLweb\styles\style.css. But when i open https://radiolovetunes.com/playlist/playlistA.html is don't see any change in color at all.

Which area of the style.css file so i have to change to change the color whitin the https://radiolovetunes.com/playlist/playlistA.html?

It's best to check that using the Developer Tools of your browser.
Press F12 key on your keyboard and then on Chrome go to the elements tab in the new area that opens up.
There should also be an "mouse pointer arrow pointing at a rectangle" icon in the top-left corner of the DevTools area. Wen you click that and then click on an item you'd like to inspect on the website, it will highlight the corresponding HTML element in the dev tools.
Last but not least: the right half of the DevTools contains all of the CSS that applies to the currently selected element.

There you can play around with modifying the CSS until you like it (beware, none of these changes are saved anywhere, they only apply as long as that page is opened, when you reload every change you made is gone, so you still need to put the same changes into the style.css file afterwards)

So for example: The search area has the ID #search and each of the letters has the class .characterButton
The playlist itself has the ID #playlist, then there's a wrapper element inside that playlist called #playlist_wrapper and each of the rows has a class of either .playlist_odd or .playlist_even
The individual columns have no classes or IDs and can only be styled by taking using the nth-child() selector: i.e.: The first column of an even row is .playlist_even:nth-child(1). Every even column is .playlist_even:nth-child(2n) and every odd column is .playlist_even:nth-child(2n+1) [n is a placeholder and will count from 0 to the number of child elements, 2*0+1 = 1, 2*1+1=3, ...]

Hope that helps.

Also note: You might need to clear your cache first to see the effects of your changes. Usually reloading the page using CTRL+SHIFT+R should do that.

Thanks for the explanation. Color change succeeded.

I also got the links .png changed in my own request button + removed the time + album notations in the playlist wrapper.

Now i want to get rid of the space at the left site of the playlist(see attached). I thought i could fix it in de _nav.html or _top10request.html but it doesn't work. Than it has to be in the style.css again. but where?

Do you know how i can remove this space at the left side of the playlist?

That's easy: margin-left: 180px; on #search and #playlist
To remove it completely, remove that rule, to make it smaller, adjuts the number.

Ok thanks,

I changed(delete the left margin 180px in search and playlist) and uploaded the style.ccs via FTP. Is it correct that there is some delay? because i don't see any effect by now.

It also seems that the changes are not vissible when i inspect the elements of https://radiolovetunes.com/playlist/playlistA.html in styleeditor(see attachement)?

Thats strange isn't?

Did you regenerate the playlists and upload after the changes?

Yes. First i did the changes in style.css. Then i uploaded the style.css via FTP to the webserver. Then i did the generate Tools-> HTML output -> generate + generate playlist.

But in some way the https://radiolovetunes.com/playlist/playlistA.html still give the margin on the left side and are the changes not implemented as shown in the attachments of my earlier message.

I checked the style.css i have uploaded to my webhoster and in that file changed are implented.

Remember what I told you about caching?
CSS changes in particular won't show until you clear your cache. Try opening the website in a private window to see what it looks like for people who haven't visited your site before or have cleared their cache.
