So is this the perfect set up? or are you asking?

I'm trying to tweak on my transitions as well. For instance, a little stepping on the USA News V.O. at the end of the read with an ID or new spot beginning too soon.

Ideas?

I believe that he was saying that that was his perfect setup for SAM. It is al relative. some like the original FM sound some dont. It all depends on taste.

I tried this configuration minus the deck output settings, and I love it... Works great!

THis configuration is AWESOME - It works without any problems what-so-ever and is the most professional sound I've had so far. When SAM2 crashed because of a tornado - don't ask, long story, I needed to reinstall SAM with the new version and all of my settings were gone. I used this configuration and it's more perfect than my original one.

Thanks!

Sounds like radio to me! The segues on fades are great but It kills the cold ends though. Hmmm how to fix?

 Can't you select the song, right-click and select Song Info > Settings and select Overide Fade Out for the relativly few songs that have hard endings? Have'nt tried it but seems like it should work.

To maegi:

Yes, this number 98641 is correct.Maybe your souncard is different for this sam2 configuration. Try this:

- Remove silence from beginning of track 98640 db
or
- Remove silence from beginning of track 98639 db
or
- Remove silence from beginning of track 98638...........37.......36....35 db
