2-4 minutes is quite a lot.
Usually it's the other way around, Metadata is there before the audio catches up.

Are you restreaming that source over multiple hops? (i.e. host streams to server A, server A is relayed by Server B, B is relayed by C and you pick up at D)
The audio has a typical delay somewhere between 30 seconds and 2 minutes for each step. So listeners on your relayed stream will have a delay between 1 and 4 minutes if you're picking up directly from the streaming server the original source is connected to.

Hmm, I’ve setup a test @ home. Streaming from my laptop to my desktop.

So that shouldn’t be the case then. Maybe there something wrong with a setting?
I’ve got title stream enabled. But when you open decoder options there is checkbox for automatic data?
Which one should be checked there?

Automatic data? Can't find that in SAM 2019.3?!

Sorry for the late reply! Had some things going on! I’m not sure if it says automatic data but it’s for a script ? #combine# or something?

Can’t check it now as I’m not around the laptop

The title template $combine$ is used in at least shoutcast and to some extent in Icecast because the metadata shown in the end-users player will always just have a title tag and no separate fields for artist, album etc.
$combine$ is the short-form for $artist$ - $title$

Icecast is a little different in that it additionally has a URL template where you can actually pass all the fields separately (but I'm not sure where you access that information - might be in the XSL templates).

Neither of them changes anything about HOW LONG it takes for the updated info to reach your listeners.

Oke, it updates normal again! Don’t ask me what I’ve done lol. Maybe a reboot was enough!

I’m really confused I mean it reads the meta data, and it adds it as current song.

But now it keeps adding it to the excising line. See picture
Is there a way that it stops doing that or deletes the old one?

It starts with artist-title and adds same artist and title when it updates

Is it only double/4-times the same thing repeated or does it increase over time?
If it's repeating more often the longer you wait, you're in a recursive loop. Meaning you're picking up the information from the same server your sending it to.

I think I’m in the loop, It keeps adding the same song yes.
The longer I wait the longer the title becomes.

But why are you restreaming the titles of your own stream? That doesn't make any sense.
You don't need a PAL script to broadcast your own titles.

haha, The thing is.

We have a server that runs sam

so it is like

Autodj(sam) --->mountpoints /Radio /low.

But when a DJ connects it goes like

DJ (which ever encoder they use) DJ mountpoint /DJ --> stream into autoDJ (The url:port/mountpoint are added as songtype C. --> goes to mountpoint /radio /low

-I Hope this makes sense to you haha-

Im using the pal script for the DJS they have set their own meta data, which are no song titles but random text. They want that to be desplayed on the now playing section.

The DJs can connect at random times so thats why i want this script to run constandly.
