QUESTION:

PUSH encoder is not able to connect.

ANSWER:

Most of the time this error occurs when you do not have the proper account settings in your encoder. Remember in SAM when your asked for the publishing point that this is the "Alias" that you are given in your control panel.

For example if your listen link is mms://wm11.spacialnet.com/demo then your settings would be

Server/IP = http://wm11.spacialnet.com

Publishing point = demo

Then your username and password. Both of which are CaSe SenSitiVe.

  • Note. The use of HTTP is not a typo, When pushing one always uses HTTP as the protocol, never mms://, also please remember, you never use mms:// when relaying a stream.
