Setting up SAM's HTML Output
SAM HTML output web template (samHTMweb)
This is for the Built-in HTML output
Step 1 Open up SAM Broadcaster
Click on Config->HTML output This is the default and has 2 Template files already in the list.
The path to the Template files is usually C:\Program files\SpacialAudio\SAMBC\samHTMweb
If the files are not in the list, Click the + sign and Enter your Input file, i.e. try C:\Program Files\SpacialAudio\SAM3\samHTMweb\_playing.html
Then Specify the output file location, i.e. try C:\Program Files\SpacialAudio\SAMBC\samHTMweb\playing.html
And for the Playlist section: i.e. try C:\Program Files\SpacialAudio\SAMBC\samHTMweb\_playlist.html i.e. try C:\Program Files\SpacialAudio\SAMBC\samHTMweb\playlist.html
Step2 Set up your FTP details if website should be automatically be uploaded to a webserver... FTP usually comes with your webhosting so you can upload files. That is the information needed
STEP3 Edit the _config.html file to your needs. You can change the colors , make sure to put your email in the correct place <!--VAL(logo,"images/logo.gif")--> put the link to the logo
<!--VAL(picture_dir,"pictures/")--> the directory where the album covers are located
<!--VAL(darkrow,"#dadada")--> this is the colors of the rows in the output. <!--VAL(lightrow,"#F6F6F6")--> you can change them here There are more vars that can be changed. Take a look with a text editor at the _config.html page
Step4 Under the SAM Broadcaster menu: General->HTML output-> (Click on) Generate playlist
This will generate the playlist since the playlist needs to be manually generated... Step5 Upload all files to your web directory (Including all album pictures for your tracks)
Make sure you checked the "Auto-generate on song change" checkbox
Your website should now be fully functional & automatically update each time the song changes. (PS: Make sure you checked the "Auto-generate on song change" checkbox)
