Very cool program! Very well thought out and executed I may add!

My only concern and feature request is offering an option to not auto-start MySQL but monitor its status when it tries to start SAM and if MySQL isn't running, keep monitoring and don't start SAM until it is up.

Here's why: MySQL currently installs by default as a system service. Windows service management has a recovery feature wherein if the MySQL server dies, it will try to restart it depending on how you have it set up (by default it is set to not do anything if it dies, but I usually recommend fixing this oversight). And if it fails to restart, it is usually an error somewhere along the line that SAMAutoStart cannot repair and it will have to be looked at manually.

IvanR, sometimes my sam shows "not responding" and doesn't close window automatically, only manually clicking on the "x".

Your software solve this case? How it do?

Tks a bunch :)

I have just started having this problem tonight. After 4-5 minutes of play SAM will go into a Not Responding state and freeze. Have to manually close it and restart, and then 5 minutes later the same thing happens again. It never did this before tonight and I have made no changes to the PC since SAM was installed a few weeks ago, so I'm not sure what is triggering this all of a sudden. Does anyone have a solution to this?

Ivan, I don't know anything about this 4.9.3. When I go to the Downloads area of my profile, the only thing listed is 4.9.2, which is the same version that is crashing.

For whatever reason Spacial has not bothered to put the new version up on their site or even on the client section where it should be first thing on a new release. The only location it has been linked is right here on the forums. As has already been noted, 4.9.2 is extremely buggy and the large majority of these bugs have been fixed in 4.9.3.

I was running FireDaemon for a while, to run SAM as a service, but I just moved my Stream to a different computer running Windows 7, and on Windows 7, services run in a separate "session" by default, where it's very hard to get to/see the UI, so that doesn't really work for me.
Point is, I'll be trying this out soon to keep SAM running - definitely looks cool and has some nice features (though I may not use all of them)...
Are there plans to add more to the program?
Also, to autostart the program and SAM on startup, I assume that it should work to put a shortcut to the program in the Startup folder, right?
Thanks!

I'll release it soon.

fantastic program. helped me out of a nagging crash issue that seemed to only happen when I was at least 30 minutes from restarting SAM.

Will this work with ALL versions of SAMBC including the recent 2013.2?

Thank you,

Jeff
