What tomfoolery is this? I'm sure this is no fault of SAM Broadcaster, but instead some automated process doing something weird with my station. Has anyone seen this sort of thing, and/or know what it is about?

A perusal of the logs shows a bzillion connections from 5.9.23.244 with a client of "XML Getter (Mozilla Compatible)" each lasting only a few dozen seconds at most. At any one time there would be around eight of them, quickly dying and being replaced by more. I'm not at all sure what game is being played here, or whether it's legit or sketchy, but I've banned the IP for now.

That user agent is from a well-known PHP script/tutorial and used in many off-the-shelf web stream players.
The IP-block is confusing, though.
Are you either from Germany yourself or hosting your website in Germany? The IP belongs to Hetzner, a well-known German Hosting provider. That basically means, someone's (maybe your own?) website is trying to access your stream server.
