I have downloaded the lastest Sam Broadcaster and when I try to activate it after running the wizard i get a 404 error code and it doesn't recognize my key. We did have an older version of Sam on this computer which we stopped using 2 years ago. "Support" from Spacial seems t be non-existent. Can anybody step up and help me. I am a part time DJ who is actually a woodworker with a little bit of computer literacy.

A 404 error code is nothing you can fix on your end.
Apparently the activation wizard tries to verify the serial number online, but the online URL for the check/activation isn't available.
There's two possible reasons for that:
#1 Some kind of server problem at Spacial - They have that often with AudioRealm and the forums.
#2 They deprecated the activation for your version and intentionally shut down that page / the activation server. (Just like Microsoft did for the DRM servers of their eBook Store [this summer] or the Zune Video/Music store [2015])

If it were me (and it's not) I'd get rid of ALL vestiges of SAM on my computer, then install the new version after a fresh reboot.
