Hello, When I am wearing headphones and I turn on the headset mic, there is a delay in my voice of a second or two but enough to throw me off.

I have the same issue. I believe it is the sound card, but I have an older computer so it could be the processor too :?

There's got to be a way around this. All of the thousands of SAM users can't all be using brand new computers. I am using a laptop and it is only a couple of years old.

I did not use the mic but I use the line-in input. It is delayed for about a 1 second.
If the mic works in the same way it would be normal.
Maybe an ASIO implementation would help but it still a long time feature request.

to disable the feedback of your voice through the headset make sure the mic is turned off then click config on the voice fx window then select Encoders (Record to Pipeline, Skip Output) in the Voice FX destination (recording mode) box. then click ok.

Thanks watcher407! Just tried that and it is true, there is no delay in the broadcast, but unfortunately I can not hear or monitor the actual live mic/mics.

I tried your solution and could not record the mic on the encoder. Is it still going out?

You should see activity on the VU meter on the encoder.

Yes the downside is you cant monitor the mic(s) audio with this method but it does remove the delay distraction while trying to talk.

I ran a voice test in other software (recording, audio editing) and found no delay. This must be problem with SAM broadcaster Pro.

You don't have a comment on this. If there is any way to overcome this issue I will do it.

wow, I can't believe a program as powerful as SAM pro can't come up with a solution to this problem.

If you want to monitor your mics in real time, just turn up the Microphone or Line In slider in the Playback devices of your computer. SAM processes all content so naturally when we pipe audio through the CPU this creates a delay, but most Audio Card manufacturers allow you to listen to the audio in real time by bypassing the system and going straight back out to the output.

This is not a SAM Broadcaster problem.

There will always be some delay when using outside sources that must go through a process in the software. Pro recording software have found ways to overcome this through the use of ASIO but even if you use the free downloadable ASIO4ALL driver with SAM I don't think it will stop the delay. It may help to some degree.

I use an external mixer with SAM and my headphones are connected to that mixer so I don't need to hear the microphone from SAM since I get it from the board. SAM's audio output is feed into the board as well so I can hear it in real time along with my voice. That being said, my Voice EFX is set to Encoders in the Audio Pipeline settings. However I must warn that when using an external mixer, DO NOT send the L&R outs of that mixer to SAM's input as this will cause internal feedback. When using an external mixer make sure you get one with at least 1 Aux send per channel feature. That way you can use the Aux send to send audio to SAM preventing feedback.
