Hello. I was using SAM Broadcaster Pro 2020.5 and just upgraded to 2021.6

I am running the Maria DB driver since the beginning.

When I ran the update, I did not realize that the Firebird server box was checked.

So I ran the update and it installed Firebird as well.

Is it going to mess up my current install? Should I uninstall Firebird 2.5.2?

I just don't want to end up with conflicts or anything.

It looks like I was MariaDB build 67449 and now it says: build 3015-6072a (and a bunch of letters and numbers)

So long story short, is it OK to uninstall Firebird or I should leave it?

Thanks!!!

Uninstall Firebird. Check sam.core.xml to make sure your connection is not to Firebird. It should be to your database engine. Not sure if it actually uses Mariadb or Mysql , but should be listed in the xml.

Hi DJ Cassio,

I see <CONFIG application="SAM" version="2020.8"><Database><Driver>MARIADB</Driver>

Which is at the very top of my sam.core.xml file.

I searched for ''firebird'' but it returned no results.

Would that meanI am OK and can uninstall?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, that would indicate your SAM is still using MariaDB and Firebird can be removed through uninstall programs or other means.
