Hi Everyone!

We recently upgraded our studio PC and it all runs much faster now.

However, we have a rather annoying and intermittent 'stuttering' of the music and/or mic, which is only heard on the studio speakers and headphones, and not on the stream output.

When we planned buying the new PC, we took advice off the Spacial site to make sure we had enough space on the PC to store the music (as opposed to the external hard drive we've used for the past few years).

So the store we ordered it from installed an internal SSL drive on the PC for this purpose.

So I am wondering... is this 'stuttering' is caused by the SAM Broadcaster Pro programme running on the C: drive, whilst the music/jingles are all stored on the internal SSL (E:) drive? (e.g. different drive speeds?)

If my assumption is (shockingly) correct, would it be possibly to, effectively, 'cut & paste' all of SAM's folders and files from its C: location to the E: drive location?

Would this affect the running of the MySQL database as the path locations would have all changed?

Or...would there be something else causing this anomaly that my old brain hasn't thought of yet?

TIA :)

Carty

Yes, it will affect it. all songs have a file location in the database, you would need to copy/paste all files first, then delete all songs in/through SAM, then drag/drop all song from new location into SAM and the that will update the database in realtime.
