I am having random problems with Samcast and Sam broadcaster freezing. The main issue is that when they freeze, they just get stuck. I have a script to check if they're running every minute and if not, restart the programs. However, when they freeze like this they stay in a state where they appear in the task manager so my script recognizes them as being active. I've disabled the Windows function "this program has crashed, press OK" but sometimes I'll just open up my servers and see SAM is just stuck on frozen mid song. Samcast will do the same thing to me. It just sits there suck with the audio signals just frozen.

Is there anything I can do to shut down SAM and Samcast when it happens and restart it? Right now my bat file just says "check if SAMBC.exe is active, if yes, die, else, restart SAMBC". Same for Samcast.

Is there a more efficient way to monitor this?

That's very little information. So many factors.

Force closing SAM could cause database corruption. Probably not the best idea.
